2021 is a perfect time to sell your home, and here’s why.
If you want to get a home that’s a better fit for your family, now’s the time to sell your current home, and here are four reasons why:
1. Low interest rates. These rates will allow you to get more for your house than you ever thought possible.
2. Low inventory. The National Association of Realtors says that, nationwide, we only have about a two-month supply of homes, which is extremely low. As you can see on the graph at 0:57, selling now enables you to take advantage of buyer demand and get the most attention from your current home. As we head further into 2021, inventory will rise, which changes the situation slightly.

3. Frequent bidding wars. Buyers are being very competitive as they make bids for homes, and they’re getting much better with the terms and conditions of their offers outside of just high purchase prices. As the competition ramps up, buyers are getting more flexible and generous as they negotiate (as evidenced by the graph at 1:46). That will give you more bang for your buck as a seller.
4. Low days on market. As you can see at 2:02, buyers aren’t waiting very long to buy houses. The National Association of Realtors claims that most homes are going under contract in just 18 days. In our local market, that period is even shorter.
